Condition
The board is sound. There is some minor rubbing to the edge of the central element however this appears to be the hand of the artist and there are some areas of paint loss to the black pigment which is intentional where the artist has rubbed the paint to reveal the underlying board. There are some further nicks to the surface which are again, the artist's hand and fully integral to the piece. There are three minor areas of discolouration to the backboard, two behind the upper edge of the central relief and one to the bottom right edge where some old glue is also visible. Otherwise in good original condition.
Under ultraviolet light, there are some small areas which fluoresce corresponding to the aforementioned areas of discolouration.
Held in the artist's designed box frame under glass; unexamined out of frame.
