Condition

The board appears sound. There is a chip with resultant losses to the upper left corner of the board. The edges of the board are scuffed in places and there are some small losses to the edges, most apparent in the corners and along the upper and left edge. There is a further spot of loss in the upper left quadrant of the work and to the lower right quadrant of the work. There are scratches and rubbing to the work which appear to be in keeping with the working methods of the artist, with some further scratches to the lower left quadrant. There is some general surface dirt to the work and studio detritus. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is float mounted and presented in a painted wooden frame. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching.
