Description
- Lee Man Fong
- A Pair of Doves
- signed in Chinese and stamped with the seal of the artist
- oil on Masonite board
Condition
This work is in good overall condition as viewed. There is a restored break to the Masonite board on the upper left corner, but this is stable and it is covered by the frame itself. It therefore does not affect the overall image. The paint layers are healthy overall. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals minor signs of restoration on the birds and some background areas. Framed.

Catalogue Note
"As an artist Man-Fong is like those rare birds who dwell in the firmiana and eat berries, rather than those feeding on carrion. In other words, he is an artist who is pure of heart and profoundly honest."[i]
