Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate despite a little too bright. Good overall condition despite the usual minor scratches and marks due to age and use. The mounts have never been gilded but varnished. The varnish is now tarnished. As visible on the illustration there is a break on the central glass panel. As visible too, there are some old losses to the veneer, corresponding to the darker areas of the illustration. These losses are less visible in reality. A small veneer area has been replaced, corresponding to the lighter area just beneath the mask. Damage to dial enamels, 15 minute marker missing. Movement has been replaced with timepiece only, not working and in poor condition, it will require complete restoration.
