Condition
The image is quite accurate.
A few dents, cracks and scratches on the roll-top. Vertical cracks on the lower panels and on the side panels. The bronze mounts are a little tarnished. The leather tops inside redone. Inevitable edge chips on the marble top. Very elegant piece of furniture in good overall condition.

Catalogue Note
Adam Weisweiler, ébéniste reçu maître en 1778
Weisweiler est l'auteur, avec Conrad Mauter, d'un secrétaire très similaire au nôtre : plaqué de loupe d'amboine, il comporte également deux écritoires, l'une pour écrire debout, l'autre à hauteur d'assise. Vendu à Paris à la Galerie Charpentier, le 20 décembre 1949, lot 121, il figura dans la collection d'Hubert de Saint-Senoch, puis dans celle de Charles Hathaway (sa vente, Sotheby's Monaco, 6 décembre 1992, lot 83).
