the mitred frame constructed of rectangular form with a removable central panel, with uprights planted into the shaped stretchers carved with dragon motifs and decorated with openwork spandrels, flanking a horizontal rectangular panel enclosing a lobed cartouche reticulated with coiling dragons, above a curvilinear-shaped apron fitted at an angle on both sides and carved in low relief with sinuous dragons and lingzhi stems

There are bruises to the extremities, especially the feet. Other minor bruises, chips and general surface wear. The frame is removable.

Table screens are contracted versions of large floor screens; their method of making often identical to their large counterparts. Table screens are divided into two groups, those with removable panels and those of which panels are fixed to the base.

The carved works are well-executed and this screen is an exquisite piece.
