Catalogue Note

This brushpot has a beautiful and active wood grain, as well as refined workmanship.

The primary function of the brushpot was to hold brushes in an inverted position to protect their delicate tips. This piece however, is so refined that it becomes an elegant object in its own right in the scholar’s studio.
