the large brushpot modelled with a gently flaring cylindrical form, the attractively figured surface of a warm golden-brown colour with fluid dark brown streaks

Condition

There are small chips to the upper rim. There are two shallow chips to the foot. Scratching and general surface wear.

This very large brushpot is suitable for storing painting scrolls. Made of tightly grained wood with fluid pattern flowing through the cylindrical shape, the brushpot is very slightly tapered with completely plain and thick walls.
