Measurements: 280cm across the top, 285cm across the bottom, 427cm along the left side, 419cm along the right side, and 412cm through the centre. Slightly shaped. Colours tonally correct, but not as dark in reality, but lighter and blues crisper and more attractive. Pile overall 1-2 mm and down to knot-heads in areas. The end guards have been reduced slightly at both ends and have double soumak overlocking to prevent further loss and have later fringe. Side cords reovercast. Attract abrash and colour changes, commensurate with technique and style of carpet. Four small lozenge indentations from a piece of heavy furniture once on it. Minor speckles of white warp foundation showing in lower right quadrant of carpet within madder ground. Some wear to foundation along an old fold line on the left side, which extends from border into main field. Does not detract from good overall appearance and condition. Very attractive carpet of good size and colouring, with lovely drawing and design as one would like from a Heriz. Detailed photographs are available from the office.
