Description

Notably (a) a document from Henry V's expedition to Normandy (1417-19), relating to Meulan, a vital bridge point on the river Seine, 1419; (b-c) and deeds relating to important English families; (d) an Ipswich deed of 1450 with parties including a member of the renowned FASTOLF FAMILY, and a number of local officials; and (e) a quitclaim by Ralph Lord Cromwell (who had been Lord Treasurer), 1447; with other diverse and interesting items, including (f) a bond by a woman, dated at Burton on Trent as early as 1333; (g) a grant of rent in Yorkshire for a period of years, 1346; (h) a grant in Hampshire with attached quitclaim (two pieces), 1513; (i) a French account of 1630.
