Description

  • Virgin and Child
  • oil on panel

Condition

Painting is executed on a single panel which is uncradled, beveled on all four sides, and in healthy condition with a slight vertical bow. An old repaired scratch approximately 5 inches long is visible under UV along the lower right quadrant. UV also reveals a few minor retouches in the Virgin's hands, cheek, and Child's midsection. The deep saturated colors and detailing are nicely preserved and the painting could be hung in its current state. In a carved and gilt wood frame.
