Condition

Oil on cradled panel. There are frame abrasions at the edges and a small scuff to the proper right shoulder of the sitter. A discolored, yellowed varnish over the surface. There are some areas of thinness in the sitter's right cheek and in the right side of his beard. Under UV light, a green fluorescing varnish obscures the majority of the work. In a black wooden frame with gilt interior.
