Description

  • Louis de Boullogne the Younger

Condition

Hinge mounted to an old sheet of paper, which has in turn been hinged to a modern mount. The sheet has very slightly discolored as is evident from the unblemished four edges. There are a number of small tears and losses to the lower and right edges due to the way in which the sheet has been hinged. There is some creasing to the lower edge of the sheet and a vertical crease through the figure's hand. The black chalk medium is still reasonably strong throughout this large and impressive sheet. Sold in a giltwood frame.
