Turquoise and diamond brooch, Van Cleef & Arpels, 1970s

Of floral design, set with turquoise cabochons framed within brilliant-cut diamonds, the leaves of gold corded wire accented with similarly cut diamonds, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered.

Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered CS 7758. Stamped Pt 900 for platinum and 750 for 18 carat gold, mounted in yellow gold. Turquoise cabochons well matched in colour, greenish blue to bluish green, with growth marks and matrix inclusions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 7.00 - 9.00 carats, on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount, one small diamond deficient. Signs of normal wear to the metal. Clasp secure, rotating safety catch. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 36 grams.
