The brooch designed as a bird, the head set with a cabochon turquoise, the beak and eyes set with brilliant-cut diamonds, the body composed of mother-of-pearl, the tail and wings of worked gold highlighted with brilliant-cut diamonds, signed Sterlé, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, two small diamonds deficient; the ring set with a baroque shaped cultured pearl within a worked two tone gold mount set with brilliant-cut diamonds, size 44, signed Sterlé, French assay mark.

Condition

Brooch signed Sterlé Paris, numbered 7.956. French maker's marks for Sterlé et Cie. French assay marks and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Turquoise with minor nicks and matrix inclusions. Mother-of-pearl in good condition. Diamonds bright and lively, two small diamonds deficient. Collapsible safety catch. Ring signed Sterlé Paris, dated 1990. French assay mark for gold. Cultured-pearl of white body colour, good skin and lustre. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 46 grams.
