The ring set with an oval synthetic ruby within a frame of brilliant-cut diamonds, further highlighted with oval sapphires and baguette diamond shoulders, size 531/2, sizing band, French assay and maker's marks; the pair of earrings of foliate design, each set with circular-cut rubies and sapphires, framed with brilliant-cut and baguette diamondsFrench assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Please note that the ruby at the centre of the ring is synthetic. The revised estimate is CHF 5,000 - 8,000 / USD 5,000 - 8,000. Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Central synthetic ruby on the ring weighing approximately 3.35 carats, measuring approximately 10.69 x 8.05 x 5.15mm, red of medium strong saturation, nicks and abrasions, smaller rubies weighing from approximately 0.10 to 0.35 carats. Sapphires well matched in colour, blue of medium strong saturation with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, some nicks and abrasions, weighing from approximately 0.10 to 0.50 carats. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 8.50 - 9.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 44 grams.
