Composed of two rows of sapphire beads alternating with gold rondelles, the front highlighted with oval diamonds and diamond rondelles, suspending a detachable pendant set with a pear-shaped sapphire weighing 9.91 carats, brilliant-cut and oval diamonds, the clasp set with a circular-cut sapphire and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 390mm.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 79837, stating that the sapphire measuring approximately 14.85 x 10.35 x 7.45mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. French assay mark for gold. Inscribed S. 9.92 and S.0.62, referring to the carat weights of the pear-shaped sapphire and the circular-cut sapphire on the clasp. Necklace with French assay mark and stamped OR 750 for 18 carat gold. Inscribed S.97.45, referring to the total carat weight of the sapphire beads, B.2.09 and B. 2.97, referring to the total carat weight of the brilliant-cut and oval diamonds. Pear-shaped sapphire on the pendant blue of medium strong saturation, with good transparency, some typical inclusions, a few nicks; for further details on the sapphire, please refer to the SSEF report. Pendant detachable. Sapphire beads on the necklace well matched in colour, blue of medium strong saturation, with typical surface reaching inclusions, cavities and nicks. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of 5.06 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 38 grams.
