Condition

Not examined out of the frame. Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are some fine lines of craquelure apparent at the lower horizontal edge. There is some light surface dirt in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and retouching to the white pigment. These have been very sensitively executed. The work is float mounted and presented in a simple painted wooden frame, held under glass.
