Condition
Original canvas.
The canvas is loose on its stretcher.
There are some minor abrasions, scuffs and handling marks visible to the extreme edges of the canvas, owing to the work previously being unframed. There are a couple of further light scuffs visible to the centre of the top edge of the composition. There is surface dirt and the work would benefit from a light clean. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals a small area of fluorescence to the lower half of the extreme right hand edge, and a further spot to the bottom left corner which may correspond to some very old retouching.
