Condition

Unexamined out of frame. The sheet does not appear fully laid down, but is at least partially adhered to a backing board. There are pin holes visible in the upper corners. There is minor cockling to the sheet, with signs of staining, surface dirt and studio detritus throughout, in part at least in keeping with the nature of the artist's techniques and materials. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition. Housed in a white wooden frame, float-mounted against a white backing board. Unexamined out of frame. The following three works came from the private collection of the sculptor Kenneth Armitage and used to hang in his London studio. They are being sold on behalf of the Kenneth Armitage Foundation which was created after the artist’s death to promote sculpture through bursaries and prizes.
