Condition

The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered to a window mount via a strip along the top edge. The edges have been unevenly cut. There are old signs of creasing visible to the sheet, in keeping with the fact that the work is taken from a sketchbook. There are further signs of light surface dirt and studio detritus, again in keeping with the nature of the artist's techniques, but this excepting the work appears in good overall condition with strong, vivid colours throughout. Housed behind glass in a thin gilt frame, set within a linen mount. Please contact the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
