The card appears fully adhered to a support board. There is a small area of loss and possible in-filling to the centre of the extreme left hand edge and left hand corner of the card, which may possibly be in the artist's hand. There are signs of light creasing to the card, in keeping with the nature of the artist's materials. There are some signs of very light abrasion and compression to the extreme edges of the lower left corner, in line with the framing, which are not visible in the present frame, as well as to the upper corners. There are some scuffs and uneveness to the surface, which appear to be inherent to the nature of the artist's materials. Elsewhere there are some minor signs of surface dirt and possible studio detritus, together with some staining and discolouration, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
