Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There is some scattered craquelure which in places has resulted in slight lifting and some isolated losses. There is some slight rubbing to some of the raised tips of the sand and impasto.
Ultraviolet light reveals an uneven varnish layer.
The work is presented in a painted wooden batten frame.
