Condition
The sheet is fully laid down onto a backing card, and the edges of another sheet underneath are visible at both the vertical edges. The sheet appears sound. The lower horizontal edge of the sheet is uneven, and there are one or two very small creases at both the upper edges of the sheet, not visible in the current mount. There is a very small tear towards the upper left vertical edge, and there are traces of old adhesive and paper at the left, right and lower edges of the sheet, most likely due to a previous mount, and not visible in the current mount. There is a repaired tear to the hair above the model's right ear, and there are several extremely tiny scuffs and light pressure marks to the sheet. There is some very light, scattered foxing, and the sheet is discoloured. There is some light surface dirt visible in both of the lower corners. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
The work is window mounted and presented in a gilt and fabric-covered frame, held under glass.
