Provenance
Sale, Pierre Berge & Associés, Paris, 6th December 2012, lot 71, where acquired by the present owner
Condition
Not examined out of the frame. The sheet is laid down onto a supporting board. The edges of the sheet are deckled. This is in keeping with the artist's working materials. There is a pinhole in the centre of the upper horizontal edge, thought to be inkeeping with the artist's technique. On extremely close examination there are some very minor traces of surface dirt and some scattered tiny losses to the black pastel. With the exception of the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
The work is float mounted and held behind glass in a grey stained wooden frame.
