Condition

Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are a few very fine lines of craquelure in isolated spots, and one or two scattered lines of reticulation. There are one or two tiny isolated losses to the salmon pigment in the upper centre, one to the light blue pigment in the centre, and a small scratch above the orange pigment on the left. There is some light surface dirt and studio detritus. There is what appears to be a light bloom apparent to the dark blue and black pigments in places, primarily apparent in the upper left quadrant. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals three small spots of retouching to the pink pigment in the lower center of the work. There is also some fluorescence to some of the other pigments, but this is thought to be inkeeping with the artist's materials. The work is presented in a painted wooden frame.
