Condition
The sheet is attached to a window mount with two tabs at the upper corners. When viewed from the reverse it is possible to see evidence of further old tabs which have been attached to the sheet in the past. The edges of the sheet are slightly uneven and there are pinholes in each of the four corners, consistent with the artist's working method. There are two diagonal creases in the lower left corner and a further diagonal crease in the lower right corner. On close examination it is possible to see a small hole in the sheet in the brown pigment at the upper left quadrant of the composition. There is some surface dirt, studio detritus and very light staining to the sheet. With the exception of the above, the work appears to be in very good condition, with strong, bright colours.
The work is presented in a window mount and is held behind glass in a gilt frame.
