  • 31.5 by 49cm.; 12½ by 19¼in.

Provenance

Redfern Gallery, London, where acquired by the late owner, 21st August 1952

Condition

The sheet has been taped to the mount along the upper horizontal edge. The sheet has a deckled edge. There is old adhesive tape along all four edges on the reverse of the sheet. There are one or two creases to the edge of the sheet at the right vertical edge, and one small tear at each of the right and lower edges, not visible in the current mount, but otherwise the sheet appears sound. There are several pinholes around the edges of the sheet, most of which are not visible in the current mount, and thought to be inkeeping with the artist's working method. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is window mounted and housed within a simple dark wooden frame, held under glass.
