Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are one or two very small spots of rubbing along the upper horizontal edge. There are a few very minor scattered lines of craquelure, most apparent to the top of the leftmost white building. There is some light rubbing to some of the impasto tips. There is some light surface dirt. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals an uneven varnish layer. There are no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is presented in a simple gilt wooden frame with fabric slip. There is some loss to the gilding in the lower right corner.
