Condition

The sheet is affixed to the mount with tape along all four edges. The sheet appears sound. The sheet undulates slightly, and there are a few very soft creases and light handling marks apparent in the upper right quadrant and towards the left vertical edge. There is some craquelure to some of the thicker areas of black gouache at the central vertical black area. There may be one or two very slight losses to some of the gouache in places. There is some very light surface dirt in one or two places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is window mounted and presented in a gilded wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
