Condition

The sheet appears to be fully laid down onto a backing card. There are several creases scattered across the composition. The largest of these include five vertical lines in the upper half of the composition and two horizontal lines at the left and right edges of the sheet. On close examination there is evidence of scattered areas of rubbing and paint loss to the sheet. There are several diagonal scuffs in the lower centre of the composition. There are small traces of surface dirt to the work and the pigments may have faded slightly. There may be some slight discolouration to sheet, not visible in the present mount. The work is presented in a window mount and held behind glass in a gilt frame. Please contact the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
