Condition

There are pinholes in both the upper and lower right corners, but otherwise the board appears sound, and has been mounted on a wooden stretcher. There are one or two scuffs, predominantly towards the edges of the board, and there is some rubbing along the lower horizontal edge of the board. There are nailheads slightly visible along the right vertical edge. There is a very tiny speck of loss above the horizontal black pigment. There is some light surface dirt, predominantly in the upper half of the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition, with fresh and bright colours throughout. Ultraviolet light reveals some small flecks and one or two spots of retouching around the edges of the board. The work is unframed. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
