Petits frottements sur le dos ; étui légèrement fendu.
Édition ornée de 22 illustrations par Pablo Picasso (frontispice, 19 hors-textes et 2 vignettes), gravés sur bois par Georges Aubert.
Tirage limité à 240 exemplaires numérotés, celui-ci l'un des 100 numérotés en chiffres romains (n° XIII).
Cette suite d'illustrations avait été commandée par Vollard à Picasso avant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
