Catalogue Note

The most important and extensive published work on Persia art. Pope began to gather material and contributors for this monumental work in 1926. It was published under the auspices of the American Institute for Iranian Art and Archaeology.

In this de luxe edition volumes 1-3 volumes are text and volumes 4-9 are plates. The plates are housed in half morocco boxes to match the text volumes.
