Catalogue Note

This work, which contains a detailed description of the Mongol empire, is a translation by Pétis de la Croix, secretary-interpreter in oriental languages to Louis XIV, from the original Turkish history of Genghis Khan by Abul Khayr Tash Kuprizadeh; it was first published in Paris in 1710. The last forty pages contain an extensive bibliography of the works consulted by Pétis de la Croix.
