Catalogue Note

This copy of Badger's Nestorians, "[an] important and very interesting work" (Blackmer), contains numerous largely erased pencil notes indicating a very close reading of the book by a former owner.

The Nestorians exercised a fascination for Anglicans in the nineteenth century due to their having been virtually isolated from the rest of Christendom since the fifth century.
