4to (238 x 159mm.), FIRST EDITION, SPECIAL ISSUE,  colour-printed initial letter and tailpiece by the author's daughter Lucia, NUMBER XXI OF 29 COPIES ON SIMILI JAPON SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR (out of a total edition of 1029 copies), title in red and black, original light blue linen-covered boards, upper cover with border in gilt, spine gilt, dust-jacket with colour design by Lucia Joyce, collector's quarter brown morocco solander box, jacket very slightly chipped and stained, some offsetting and spotting to endpapers and leaves at the beginning and end
