Catalogue Note
RARE IN DUST-JACKET. Henty remains one of the most prolific children's writers ever published, writing his novels at a rate of three or four per year and known to dictate over 6,000 words in one sitting. Henty insisted upon historical accuracy in his fiction, and so would have a box of relevant books sent over from the London Library before inventing his heroes and their adventures.
