Smith & Son blind-stamp on front endpaper of volume one [Sadleir 3357; Wolff 7289], some gatherings proud or slightly loose, scattered foxing, minor wear to binding; ii) Dene Hollow. A Novel. London: Richard Bentley and Son, 1871, 3 volumes, 8vo (195 x 135mm.), FIRST EDITION, 1p. of publisher's advertisements at end of volumes one and two, original red-morocco cloth (Sadleir's primary binding) [Sadleir 3332, THIS COPY], some slight wear to edges of binding; iii) Edina. A Novel. London: Richard Bentley and Son, 1876, 3 volumes, 8vo (181 x 124mm.), FIRST EDITION, advertisement leaf at the end of volume 2, original brown diagonal-fine-ribbed cloth, decorated in black and gilt [Sadleir 3334; Wolff 7270], contemporary presentation inscription, some neat and minor repairs, very slight wear to covers, some joints slightly weak (9)
