Catalogue Note
The first part of Verne's three Mysterious Island works, purportedly translated by the popular children's writer William H.G. Kingston. It was later revealed that the translator had really been Kingston's wife Agnes who was in fact responsible for all the translations of Verne's work which bear the Kingston name.
