The second of Sypri's famous Heidi books was issued both in cloth (matching the binding of Heidi's Lehr - und Wanderjahre which was published the preceding year) and in this pictorial binding as volume five in a series by Perthes titled "Geschichte für Kinder...von Johanna Spyri".
