Condition

This work is in good condition, particularly given the copper support. It has been restored. The paint layer is clean, well retouched and varnished. Retouches are clearly visible under ultraviolet light in the upper right corner and on the lower left edge. There is a damage that goes through the inscription in the lower left. This damage has not been retouched, so that one can see the original inscription without any interruption from restoration. There are very few retouches in the remainder of the left side or background. There are a few tiny dots of retouching in the figure and halo, and there is one retouch by the outstretched arm of the putti in the lower left.(This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
