The Dawson Gallery, Dublin, where purchased by Ambassador Sean Gaynor in the 1950s and thence by descent

Condition

The sheet has been laid down on card which is undulating slightly. There are areas of staining, notably to the sheet edges. There is an artist pinhole in the upper right hand corner and another pinhole to the upper centre edge. There are scuffs and marks, minor surface abrasions and some faint foxing marks scattered throughout. There is some surface dirt to the sheet. The colours themselves remain strong. Held in a simple drawing frame with a slate grey mount and framed under glass. Please note that the work has been examined out of its frame.
