Condition

Executed on cream wove paper; not laid down and suspended between the glass and backing board. The edges of the sheet are slightly unevenly cut. There are brush hairs caught in the paint in the upper part of the composition, consistent with the artist's working process. The sheet is slightly time stained. There is a tear approximately 5mm long to the upper part of the right edge and a further few small losses and nicks in places along the right edge. There is a light diagonal scratch from the centre of the left edge approximately 12cm. long and possibly original. There are tape remnants to the upper edge of the verso from previous mounting. This work is in overall good condition.
