Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a layer of uneven varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating but there do not appear to be any signs of retouching. The canvas is gently undulating at all four corners. There is some stable craquelure primarily to the thicker white pigment and some shrinkage in places. There is some intermittent pigment loss associated to frame rubbing along the edges. There is spot of pigment loss to the centre of the upper left corner, and a spot to the centre of the right edge, and a few spots intermittently along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
