Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some historic retouching to the sky which appears to be covering areas of thinness. There are fine lines of stable craquelure, predominantly to the background. There are some areas of minor frame rubbing along the left edge. There is a tiny spot of paint loss to the upper right corner. There is a repaired tear (approximately 2.5cm) to the trunk of the tree in the lower right quadrant. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
