Condition

Attractive patina with blue-green tones. There are a few small spots of greening in places, most prominently to the base, and some general age and handling wear to the surface. The very tip of the work has sustained some minor damage resulting in minor flattening which could be adressed by a professional restorer. This work is in good condition.

Catalogue Note

'Exploring the relation between stasis and movement, solid form and space, Chadwick's late works of the '80s and '90s continue to explore the nature of collective social identity while manifesting affection for the female torso, which is increasingly naturalistically portrayed.'
