Condition

The canvas is not lined and examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. There are horizontal lines of scattered pigment losses in the upper part of the composition, and fine lines of craquelure throughout, most visible in raking light, with some tiny flecks of associated paint loss in places. There are areas of paint shrinkage to the blue pigment in the background. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
