Condition
Executed on paper mounted on canvas. The sheet is buckling in a few places including towards the upper and lower right corners. Various faint crease lines are visible, particularly vertically through the composition just right of center, and diagonally near the upper center. There are scattered repaired tears throughout, including an area of more considerable number at the lower center edge. Some losses occur on the surface, particularly in the grays and blues toward the upper right, as well as in the yellows at upper left. Various minor surface abrasions and light scratches are scattered throughout. Under UV light minor strokes of inpainting are visible scattered throughout especially associated with crease lines and repairs, and two 1 inch long vertical strokes towards the center right, and some smaller strokes in the skirts of the younger female figures. Overall this work is in fairly good condition.
