Condition

Automatic movement is running and all functions are in working order when cataloguing. Dial is nice and clean. No visible blemishes to the case, appears to be unworn. Buckle with very minor signs of use. Overall condition is excellent. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. **The present lot does not come with original strap.**

With a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, an instruction manual, interchangeable solid case back, a setting pin and a presentation box.

Reference 5140 was launched in 2006 and initially produced in white gold only. A year later, in 2007, it was made in yellow gold and, since 2010, in pink gold and platinum. The Reference 5140 replaced the popular Reference 3940 which had been in production for 20 years. The 5140 is 1.2 mm larger than its predecessor. 

Examples such as the present lot, featuring black diamond-set dials, were quite recently introduced in 2014.
